These cherries are beautiful! But, we have to dump 14% of our tart cherry crop on the ground to rot. Why? So we can allow the import of 200 million pounds of cherries from overseas! It just doesn't seem right.
My youngest son and wife are one of those irresponsible spenders with a 6-year-old, #2 due in June. They live with her dad who works when able a Mechanic. Then took in her sister with 3 kids on welfare. In a 3-bedroom house, in a questionable neighborhood. He was not brought up this way. They did their taxes on our computer. By the time deductions were done, $2,000 was the income. They are getting back $6,000 due to having 1 child. I looked at my hub who is 83 in July, and me 76 in August. And said Do NOT PAY the child's school tuition. They never pay back what they borrow. We are not wealthy. CC is paid off every month, I put mine in the safe. Cash only. Our Tax check was $500. We never had 1 stimulus check. He is a Ret. 20-year Navy SCPO. My SS is below 'the average'. I'm not a bank or a pawn shop. Yet have other friends think that I am. I am frugal by nature and life's lessons. Grew up on hand-me-downs. Spent 10 yrs as a single mom, under Stagflation from Nixon/Ford. Reagan was a Godsend. As was Trump. Gas was $3.18 at the lowest station on Friday. Yellen says things are Rosey under FJB. BS. BIDEN DEPRESSION.
